biogas digesters!

Thanks for your support!

Throughout Vietnam, waste (poo) is being converted into a clean energy source (biogas) at a rapid pace—the numbers are truly staggering—and it wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for awesome people like you. We’re talking about the 17,586 new biogas digesters that have been built, making the total over 100,000! These biodigesters reduce carbon emissions by 600,000 tonnes annually and supply clean energy to over 500,000 people across the country.

And if reducing over half a million tonnes of CO₂ a year isn’t impressive enough, you’ve also helped to create 773 full-time jobs each year since the project started, saved 13,116 hectares of land from deforestation, and prevented 45,243 cases of respiratory infections.

The map above shows the 55 provinces that now have active digesters installed. Almost the whole country!
