Forget about private email servers, Benghazi, and especially Ken Bone. November 8th is officially behind us, but a strong and healthy future for our environment is still a long way away. Donald Trump, our President-elect (like it or not), is now our Earth’s biggest hurdle. Despite the fact that many of his own properties are vulnerable to rising sea levels, Trump has pledge that in his first 100 days in office he will:
- Cancel the Paris Agreement, the recently adopted global deal to curb climate change
- Dismantle the EPA, the public’s and nature’s last line of defense and accountability
- Bring defunct coal-fired power plants back online
Climate scientists across the world say that policies like these would create lasting harm to everything from biodiversity to food.
