Cool Effect Hosts Ice Skating in San Francisco

In celebration of #GivingTuesday and the charitable season, Cool Effect hosted two days of complimentary ice skating at The Holiday Ice Rink at Embarcadero Center in downtown San Francisco on #GivingTuesday, November 28 and Saturday, December 2. Dozens of volunteers dressed as snowmen put on their skates and joined thousands of guests on the ice over the two days. Guests were also invited to learn more about Cool Effect, our portfolio of carbon reduction projects, new gift center and participate in climate change trivia in return for prizes. Contributions to Cool Effect of any amount – as small as a penny – were accepted on site and in total, Cool Effect retired almost 1,000 metric tonnes.
