Tonnes of methane have been reduced!

Thanks for your support!

Thanks to you, the Southern Ute tribe has been able to protect their reservation in Colorado and help out Mother Earth. The project has already reduced 290,565 tonnes of methane (CH₄), a greenhouse gas 25 times more harmful than CO₂ and it’s one of the first of its kind in the United States to voluntarily collect naturally seeping methane. And you helped make it all possible!

Cool Effect staff visited the project on September 16th and we are happy to report that the project is doing everything we hoped – and more! In addition to helping cool the planet, this project provides jobs and income for the tribe and is run with the highest safety standards. The Southern Ute tribe has invested to make this project phenomenal – so thank you for investing in them.
